What people are saying.

“Our nerdy family loved this experience. Laura is an excellent tour guide. Her breadth of knowledge is wide and she has a deep understanding and excitement for the fossils being discovered in PEI. Our family (school age through university pus parents) enjoyed and hope to go back for the longer tour.

She was great with the kids on the tour patiently explaining their finds with interest even when they weren’t a fossil.”

-Marni Tuttle, 2023

“Excellent tour. Laura was very knowledgeable and shared how this wonderful island was formed, talked about the features of the cliffs we see daily but couldn’t previously explain (ie layers, textures, random rocks, colours, etc), and taught what to look for re fossils, while explaining how they were formed. I would highly recommend the tour.”

-Glen McFarland, 2021

“This tour was fantastic! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was excited at our finds as well. It is nice to find someone who is so enthusiastic about their job. I definitely want to do the tour again next year!”

-Nicole Brown, 2021

“I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone young or old. Tour guide Laura MacNeil ( an Island Geologist) , has a large knowledge of dinosaurs and fossils, and has that special quality to be able to her share her knowledge, in a way kids and adults can understand, and be excited about. Thank you Laura for a memorable day . I've been studying the rocks ever since, on my daily beach walks .So much I never knew about the evolution of the Earth.

The tour is a definite "must do" for visitors and Islanders alike. Thanks Laura....you ROCK. rated 10/10”

“Would highly recommend this amazing experience! First of all it’s a lovely beach walk, so you can’t go wrong there and it gets better! Laura takes you along the beach, looking for fossils and painting the scene of a prehistoric place that once existed. With her maps and pictures you can really see it to believe it! It’s truly remarkable to think about how we are walking on a place that was completely different once upon a long long time ago! The experience can completely change your worldview and perspective. Great for adults and kids of all ages. If you’re an islander, it’s a part of the island you’ll want to know about and if you’re from away, it’s a lovely adventure to fully experience the place you’re visiting as well.”

“Laura is a wonderful tour guide with so much knowledge. I had so many ‘ah ha’ moments while she was speaking. From pointing out fossilized wood, showing us photos and sharing stories— Laura did it all. Thank you for sharing your information with us, Laura who new we had such a special place in PEI rich with fossils.”
